International Scientific Information

Xeronina and cell regeneration
Dr. Ralph Heinicke

As a researcher in Hawaii, Dr. Ralph Heinicke discovered the wonderful benefits of Noni and proposed to find the pharmaceutical active ingredient in it. Dr. Heinicke has studied for 45 years the effects of the alkaloid he discovered and called xeronina. Xeronina is relatively small and is physiologically very active and important for the adequate function of all cells in the body. In this study, Dr. Heinicke discovered that the Noni juice contains appreciable amounts of the precursor of the xeronina, which he called “pro-xeronina”.The pro-xeronina releases pure xeronina in the intestines when it comes in contact with a particular enzyme also found in Noni juice. Dr. Heinicke’s theory is that, when xeronina is released, it acts at the molecular level to repair damaged cells.

Dr. Heinicke establishes that the primary function of xeronina is to regulate the rigidity and form of specific proteins. Because these proteins have different functions in the cells, this explains how the administration of Noni juice can cause an incredible wide range of physiological result.
